Public and institutional moves require planning

School and municipal moves often involve more coordination than a typical residential move. There may be classrooms, records, equipment, storage areas, office furniture, supplies, and public facility requirements.

Inventory and labeling

Labeling matters. Items may need to be grouped by room, department, building, grade level, or destination area. When labeling is done well, delivery and setup become much easier.

Phasing and scheduling

Public facilities often have strict move windows, summer schedules, school breaks, meeting calendars, or building access limitations. Planning around those windows reduces disruption.

Storage and staging

Storage can help when items need to be cleared from one area before another area is ready. Staging also helps with large projects where not everything can move at once.
