Eight weeks before
Start deciding what is moving, what is being donated, what is being discarded, and whether packing help or storage may be needed. Begin collecting estimates and reviewing move dates.
Four to six weeks before
Confirm your mover, discuss packing, update building rules, gather COI requirements, and start packing non-essential items. If moving in summer, book earlier when possible.
Two weeks before
Confirm access, parking, elevator reservations, destination details, storage timing, and any remaining packing needs. Keep important documents separate.
Move week
Finish packing, label boxes clearly, protect valuables, confirm arrival window, and make sure the crew has accurate contact information and access instructions.
